Joy and John established their private practice Swans Therapy together in Bournemouth in 2008 and it has been operating successfully ever since. In various locations across Bournemouth and Poole, starting in Shelley Mannor Medical Centre, Boscombe, then within Queens Park and presently The Consulting Centre, Poole and Westbourne.

They trained together to become professional counsellors, therapists, hypnotherapists and coaches; Which has been an inspiring experience and journey. Previous to this, they both had varied careers working in businesses, education and public services.

Although John has recently retired from practicing, his rich knowledge and experience is still very much present in the very fabric of Swans Therapy.

Joy and John have always felt that their age and stage in life, along with their personal life experiences and knowledge, are an asset in offering you a service with a wide range of treatments and therapies.

Always very passionate about the work both consider it to be an honour to be of service to you.

Joy utilises a mixture of counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and coaching.

This variety of models and techniques helps her to cater our service to your needs, and enable you to overcome anxieties, pain or challenges you are experiencing.
