Regulatory Body and Ethics

 Joy is registered and licensed to practice by both The National Hypnotherapy Society and The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. Joy is registered as a Senior Accredited member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society

Joy is also an Accredited Members of the Hypnotherapy Society.

These are all professional bodies that strive to maintain the highest standards for individual hypnotherapists and counsellors and all belong to the Accredited Voluntary Register, a Government organisation which ensures the quality of service and professionalism for the bodies themselves and the therapists who are registered with them.

All of Joy’s qualifications have been verified by these bodies ensuring that she meets their criteria for professional standards. All bodies have a strict Code of Ethics which Joy wholeheartedly supports, including the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) code of conduct for the professionalism and protection it ensures for both the therapist and the client.

In addition, all personal client information is kept strictly confidential unless legal obligations dictate otherwise, (usually relating to criminal issues and issues of self-harm).

Joy is also a member of the UK Reiki Federation.
